An Honorable Man
William Williams was in charge of the blast furnaces at the Homestead Mill during the strike of 1892. He was summoned by Henry Clay Frick and asked to re-light the furnace fires so that the people in the town would think that the strike had ended and the men would return to work. Williams refused.
